Paul Louis (Songwriter/Singer)
Born and raised in New York
City, Paul received his training in musical theater at The American
Musical and Dramatic Academy. He plays over seven musical
instruments and has performed on stage as an actor in over 40
professional productions (including LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, in which
he won a Carbonell Award for Best Actor in a Musical). He has
written, scored & directed over 50 professional children’s
theater musicals throughout the United States. His voice can be
heard as hundreds of different characters in radio commercials. He
is the creator, writer and composer, of JELLY BEAN JUNGLE, the
former nationally syndicated live action “values based” children’s
series, which Pres. Bill Clinton called “High quality children’s
programming”. His home video versions of Jelly Bean Jungle (entitled
JUNGLE JAMBOREE), received an award of excellence from The Film
Advisory Board. He also created BLIP & BLAB: LANGUAGE EXPLORERS,
an internationally aired children’s series, which teaches English as
a second language. As an actor on TV, he co-stars as “Marvin” on the
BBC and ABC Family Channel kids’ series S CLUB 7 (which airs in 106
countries including the U.S. & Canada). He recently became a
puppeteer listed with The Jim Henson Company, and he is the proud
father of a little girl by the name of Hali (the inspiration for
most of his original children’s songs).
Damaris Lopez-Canales
(Singer)
Born and
raised in Bronx, New York, Damaris at age twelve attended the boys
and girls club of New York performing arts program. Her performances
included lead roles in the musicals Annie, Dorothy in the Wizard of
Oz, and Sandy in Grease. Damaris continued touring the US with the
Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club Touring Company throughout her high
school years. She graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School
of the Performing Arts in New York with a vocal performance degree.
In 1996 Damaris graduated from the University of Miami with a
Bachelor of Music in musical theatre. Since then Damaris has
performed in several theatres throughout South Florida in such shows
as Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Oliver, Pippin, Man of La
Mancha, Evita, Little Mary Sunshine, Funny Girl, as well as many
children’s shows. Recently at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in
Arizona, Damaris performed in the musical review “Yesterday’s” where
she received rave reviews from Arizona critics. Damaris plans to
continue singing and teaching voice lessons, as well as her stage
performances. Damaris and her husband of 3 years have a newborn baby
girl named Kayla.
Michael J.
Hoffmann
Michael is an award winning
composer, arranger and producer with over 30 years experience in
South Florida. He has won numerous Clios, Addies and other industry
awards. His score for the documentary film Heroes Hispanos garnered
an Emmy nod.
Commercial clients for whom he has scored
original music include Norwegian Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean
Cruise Lines, Toyota, McDonalds, Burger King, CBS Sports, and many
more. For Gable Stage, in Coral Gables, Michael has written,
arranged and performed original music as well as overseeing the
sound and design for their productions for the past two seasons.
Included among the many productions for which Michael either
composed and arranged original music or enhanced with sound design
are -- A Lesson Before Dying, Dirty Blonde and Diary of Anne
Frank.
Michael's composing talent ranges from classical
orchestrations to jazz fusion to whatever you can think of. He owns
MH Productions, Inc, in Ft. Lauderdale, a postproduction-recording
studio.
